A (late) Thank You note
#284 - Jul.2026
This is a random Thank-You note I want to release into the ether of the web.
Thanks, Peter Attia.
I've been learning from this person for 13 years.
Driving to work today, listening to one of the many episodes of The Drive podcast I've listened to, I realized the amount of knowledge I've gather over the years by listening to Peter.
Maybe you don't know him. You can learn more about him here.
It started with a YouTube class. A doctor with endurance experience, explaining VO2 max (new to me back then), carb refueling and training tips.
Since then, his podcast has been one of my "friends" during long runs (many episodes are 2hrs+!), learning about:
- Insulin resistance
- Longevity and The Centenarian Decathlon
- VO2 max and how to increase it
- Lipoproteins (and ApoB!)
- Strength and muscle mass
- Nutrition frameworks
- ... and the list could go on.
His book (Outlive) has been one of the go-to recommendations that I give to people.

If I'm in a better health condition than years ago is, in part, because of what I've learned from Peter.
Changing my perspective of health from reactive to proactive has been, for sure, the best takeaway so far.
Thanks, Peter, for sharing your knowledge.
¡Saludos!
