💡 Here is a quick idea to reflect on:

> When any interaction with products or service providers happens quickly, we attribute this **efficiency** to the perceived simplicity of the experience...When forced to wait, **life seems unnecessarily complex**. **Savings in time feel like simplicity**. And we are thankfully loyal when it happens, which is rare. 

We are often laser-focused in providing a good experience through our products and services, narrowing the options to the best interaction alternatives (a button, the right color, the right behavior). 

But we sometimes ignore the power of a simple variable: **Time**. 

The sense of simplicity of your product is tightly linked to how fast you can complete a task. 

Waiting times are just a different form of cognitive load.

That's why metrics such as [time-on-task ](https://www.nngroup.com/articles/satisfaction-vs-performance-metrics/?ref=cesarrg.com)are so important to track. They can help you map the opportunities for optimization. 

Save time. Make it simple.
