# Accountability and collaboration

I've lost trust in RACI matrices.

More often, I see these matrices creating **walls** instead of collaboration **bridges**.

In plain words, most RACIs define boundaries: "you do this, I do that."

Yet, in highly collaborative environments, true ownership isn't about territories. 

It's about having **common outcomes and incentives**, where ideas are nurtured within the team (engineers, designers, business experts).

Does this mean lowering the bar for **accountability**? No.

We still aim to have clear owners who account for final decisions. But this is **very different** from taking decisions in isolation and passing the ball to the next owner.

Accountability + Collaboration. That's the goal.
